We empower families through culturally attuned education, doula support, and we guide institutions towards equitable, community-centered maternal health solutions. We don't just support births - we build systems around them.

Meet the Founder
Ashley Vaughn
Ashley Vaughn is a Long Island, NY native, wife, mother of four, and the heart behind Nectar Birthing Collective, Inc. With over 10 years of Corporate Training and Leadership Development, Ashley brings her passion for empowering others into her work as a birth worker and Maternal Health Strategist. Her journey into maternal wellness and community care began with her own experiences as a mother, inspiring her to create a supportive, culturally attuned space for families to thrive.
Through Nectar Birthing Collective, Ashley combines her love for community, commitment to this work and equitable care. She's dedicated to building a network where every family, especially those in BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities, feels seen, supported and empowered from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond.
When she's not working with families, Ashley believes that creating meaningful, holistic support can transform lives, and she's honored to share that mission with the Long Island community,
Ashley was amazinggg. I met her a month before my due date and I was worried we didn’t have enough time to get to know each other or figure out a rhythm BUT she was super attentive and would text me often asking what’s going on and how I’m feeling. She also dropped by to teach some exercises that my mid wife recommended me. She was very attentive to my needs and comfort during the birthing process. I told her exactly what I wanted during labor and she went above and beyond. Made me super comfortable and I was able to ease into my labor knowing she was there to take care of me. I recommend Ashley to all new moms and especially veteran moms because with each kids we care less about ourselves but having an empathetic, experienced and caring birth doula is always needed!
